 Incredibly, Rimmel is one of the world’s oldest beauty brands having been the fashion-forward inventor of the hip London look since 1834. Aptly, the party was hosted at the London Film Museum in Covent Garden, just a few metres away from the Strand where the first Rimmel headquarters was located back in 1860.

To kick-off the event, guests were treated to a celebration of Rimmel’s 180 year history and 180 years of ‘London cool’ through fashion, make-up, video and music.

The fashion elite partied with Rimmel ambassadors Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger, who arrived in authentic London style in Rimmel-branded black cabs. London’s cool crowd congregated at the ultimate birthday party to celebrate the imminent 180th anniversary of edgy make-up brand Rimmel.

Guests also witnessed a unique fashion show and enjoyed a surprise performance from the capital’s hottest music artist, Rita Ora, who, as recently announced, is the latest style icon to collaborate with Rimmel.

International chart sensation Rita Ora is known for her unique sense of edgy British style, making her the perfect partner for trend-setting Rimmel. The London-raised star is joining forces with the leading-edge brand to create an exclusive, limited-edition collection of the hottest nail and lip shades for spring 2014. 

To kick-off the event, guests were treated to a celebration of Rimmel’s 180 year history and 180 years of ‘London cool’ through fashion, make-up, video and music. Rimmel’s trend-setting heritage was brilliantly brought to life through a stunning fashion show involving 18 models representing 18 iconic looks from 1834 to 2014, including Brit beauty Georgia May Jagger who showcased the glam ‘70s Studio 54 style.

Пушистые меха надели состоятельные искатели приключений из США и Европы, когда поехали на Клондайк за золотыми самородками.
В России всегда была необходимость в меховых изделия из-за самой долгой и холодной зимы. Торговцы из севера и Скандинавии обеспечивали пушниной знатные семьи России и Европы.

Мама рассказывала, что была в её классе девочка,приехавшая из Магадана, и блистала среди всей школы в каракулевой шубке. Даже учителя смотрели с завистью, а Маринка разгуливала с осени до весны в меховом пальто. Самое главное, что никто не осмелился позаимствовать дорогую вещь или проще сказать - украсть. 

На мой взгляд, есть преимущества у меха натурального цвета : не выходит из  моды, легко подбирать к разным образам и не боится химчистки (только специализирующейся на этой услуге).
